Why estimates differ

Macro math is useful, but never magic.

Nutrition sources vary

Macro estimates may come from labels, USDA FoodData Central, user-entered ingredients, recipe text, or calculated conversions. Those sources can disagree.

Small changes matter

Brand substitutions, protein powders, mix-ins, serving size, density, rounding rules, and post-spin add-ins can materially change calories, protein, carbs, fat, and sugar alcohols.

Not medical advice

Pint Prep does not verify allergens, medical suitability, food safety, or therapeutic diet fit. Review labels and ask a qualified professional when the answer matters.

Informational use only

Pint Prep provides recipe organization, macro estimation, machine-fit checks, calculators, and frozen-dessert workflow notes for informational kitchen planning only.

Pint Prep does not provide medical advice, dietetic advice, diagnosis, treatment, or personalized nutrition counseling.

Macro estimates are estimates

Nutrition values can differ because of label rounding, database updates, missing ingredient details, serving-size interpretation, cooking or freezing changes, and brand substitutions.

Generated totals should be treated as estimates until you compare them against the exact products, quantities, and serving sizes you use.

Ingredient matching

USDA and custom ingredient matches can help explain where numbers came from, but Pint Prep cannot guarantee a match is the exact item in your kitchen.

When a recipe has a low-confidence match, warning, missing gram weight, or custom-label ingredient, verify the label before relying on the result.

Allergens and medical needs

Pint Prep does not independently verify allergens, cross-contact, food recalls, supplements, caffeine, sugar alcohol tolerance, medication interactions, or suitability for medical conditions.

If you have allergies, diabetes, kidney disease, pregnancy-related needs, an eating-disorder history, competition-prep constraints, or another medical concern, consult a qualified professional before relying on Pint Prep outputs.

Food and machine safety

Follow safe food handling, freezing, storage, and manufacturer instructions for the ingredients and machine you use.

Machine-fill warnings are planning aids. You remain responsible for not overfilling containers and for using equipment safely.

How to use Pint Prep safely

Pint Prep tries to make estimates easier to audit through source labels, confidence notes, per-serving and per-pint views, fill-line warnings, and editable ingredients.

If a number looks wrong, stop and verify before cooking, freezing, eating, publishing, or sharing the recipe.
